Reviving the Catholic Church in Belarussia

Welcome to the site of the Roman-Catholic Parish of St. Anthony of Padua in Minsk (Belarus).

A brief history of the parish:

The parish was founded in 1996 with the decree of His Eminence Cardinal Kazimierz Sviontek. From 14.06.2005, Rev. Sergey Pekachev has been appointed as the parish priest.

Unfortunately, the parish does not have a proper church building. From 2005 the liturgical service has been taking place in a hall rented from an administrative-cultural centre in our area.

In 2009 we received permission for the construction of the church building. We have found the site where the church is going to be built and we are working on the project of the building (see below).
